Spiced Pear Baked Oatmeal

This spiced pear oatmeal is a delicious alternative to you morning porridge that could be made in advance for stress free mornings!

  • 2 eggs large
  • 1/2 cup / 110g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 1/4 tsp This is an affiliate link.nutmeg

  • tsp baking powder
  • 1/3 cup / 65g butter melted
  • 1 cup / 250ml milk
  • 3 cups / 255g rolled oats
  • 6 pears small
  • 2 tbsp toasted walnuts chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325F/170C. Butter a round or a rectangular 9x13 inch baking dish and set aside.
  • In a large bowl whisk eggs, brown sugar, spices, vanilla, baking powder, butter and milk. Add oats and mix well, then add 3 peeled and chopped pears, mix gently to combine.
  • Pour the mixture in the buttered dish and arrange 3 sliced pears on top. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes.

Notes

Serve drizzled with honey or golden syrup and sprinkled with walnuts.
